  My family and I were visiting Lake Placid for first time and we were looking for a place to get lunch so went to Black Bear. It's a cozy place with an amazing lake view. Customer service is great. Good for small family. Lunch was good!

  It was our first time in Lake Placid and the Black Bear Restaurant was a very nice way to end our trip. We had excellent, prompt service with delicious food. We had fried calamari to start, with Adirondack Rainbow Trout and Shrimp Scampi. The entrees had bread, a salad and pasta included. Everything was delicious! We were very pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was attentive and very professional and cordial. Will definitely be back next time!

  The Seafood Black Bear is a MUST!!! Make sure get it with the white sauce! By far the BEST platter I've ever had! You will not regret it! I'm from Alabama and get fresh seafood often, and this was a great surprise! Service was wonderful as well! Plenty of food to split between two!

  Bartender acknowledged us as soon as we walked in and they set up a table promptly. Server took time to explain the specials and the food was excellent. Kids pasta meal was gigantic! Very friendly staff and good food.
